История музыки. Американский фотограф Брайан Хэмилл выпустил книгу «Dream Lovers», в которую вошли его ранее не опубликованные снимки Джона Леннона и Йоко Оно. Он сделал их, когда пара обосновалась в Нью-Йорке.

«Я впервые сфотографировал Джона 13 октября 1972 года. И я очень нервничал! На тот момент я занимался фотожурналистикой в течение примерно семи лет, поэтому был уверен в своих способностях, но это все равно было большое дело. Джон Леннон был моим любимым “битлом”», — рассказал Хэмилл.

Вступительное слово к изданию написал актер Алек Болдуин.

«Леннон, один из самых известных людей в истории человечества, хотел жить, как все остальные. Конечно, он поладил с Хэмиллом. Парню, взлетевшему так высоко, не хватало кислорода. И Хэмилл стал этим глотком свежего воздуха», — отметил он.

I was waiting for the right vibe and the right moment to give John and Yoko a cluster of 8×10’s that I had taken at their recent Madison Square Garden concert. After photographing them for about 45 minutes, I presented the prints. They were both truly happy and very thankful to receive them. While they were sitting on their bed and going through the photographs, the phone rang. Yoko picked it up and said, “Hold on." She put John on the phone with her and they both listened to what sounded like a song drifting through the earpiece. A few moments later, John politely ended the conversation by saying, “We will call you back later as we are looking at very nice photos of the concert taken by Brian Hamill.” Of course, that comment made me feel wonderful. John explained that they were listening to a mixed version of a song from their sound engineer. I like this photograph because it captures a piece of time out of context where several things went down, including the unexpected compliment meant for my ears.
